Welcome to Glenwood Memorial Gardens

Although some burials at Glenwood Memorial Gardens* date back to the 1700s, it wasn’t until the early 1850s that the cemetery was formally chartered.  In the 1940s, it became necessary to move the cemetery from its original location on Glenwood Avenue in Philadelphia to its current location in Broomall in order to make available valuable land in the city.  Situated on approximately 70 acres, our meticulously maintained grounds offer gently rolling hills and stately trees that provide a quiet and picturesque setting in which to honor the memory of your loved one.
